Urinary Assays for Predicting Severe AKI
New Publication
Sussex Critical is pleased to announce a new publication in the prestigious journal of the American Society of Nephrology, Kidney360. Acute Kidney Injury is a potentially life-threatening disease that remains notoriously difficult to diagnose and prevent. This paper evaluates a potentially useful urinary assay in predicting Severe AKI.
The urinary assay of C-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 14 (CCL14) has already been used to predict persistent AKI in critically ill patients with an established AKI but this paper establishes clinical cut-offs for the concentration of CCL14 in order to predict severe persistent AKI
