Frailty following Ischaemic Stroke

Frailty, Assessed by the Rockwood Clinical Frailty Scale and 1-Year Outcomes Following Ischaemic Stroke in a Non-Specialist UK Stroke Centre

Frailty, assessed by the clinical frailty scale (CFS), is independently associated with 28-day and 1-year mortality after ischaemic stroke.

In contrast to previous work, improvement in stroke severity following thrombolysis was not attenuated with frailty.

Frailty in stroke is common and has implications for clinical prognostication and service delivery.
